Last Thursday, Baltimore multi-hyphenate artist and founder John Tyler launches Love Groove Entertainment, his creative flagship for the Love Groove orbit. Love Groove Entertainment involves each of Tyler’s current creative ventures including Love Groove Music Festival, Love Groove Junior, Love Groove Studios, as well as Tyler’s music. In all, LGE will function as a festival, music label, apprenticeship, and multi-media production studio.

The 21-year-old unveiled his new business during a listening party for his highly-anticipated upcoming album Free Spirit. In a tweet thread, the artist expanded on his vision for Love Groove Entertainment, saying he will be building “the Coachella/HBO/Roc-A-Fella Records of Baltimore from the ground up.”

John Tyler wants to grow Love Groove Entertainment into one of the most important support systems to exist for Baltimore-based artists. “Eventually, as we grow financially, I’m going to be funding every good idea coming out of Baltimore. I’m so involved in the Baltimore art scene and see so many GREAT things that lack money… Lord knows great Black ideas don’t get the grant money. It’s time for a change.”
