The New Orleans Pelicans will sign forward Naji Marshall to a two-way contract, Matt Babcock of Babcock Hoops reports. Marshall went undrafted after his junior season at Xavier.

Marshall will split time between the Pels’ big league team and their Erie BayHawks G League affiliate.

The small forward was named to the All-Big East team during the 2019-20 campaign after averaging 14.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

Standing 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan, Marshall is clearly well-suited for play in The Association. As a senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Prince George’s County, Marshall averaged 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. He led Eleanor Roosevelt to a 23–3 record and scored 27 points to lead the Raiders past Perry Hall High School 69–59, in the Maryland 4A state semifinals.

Marshall declared for the 2019 NBA Draft after his sophomore season but ultimately withdrew.
