The 6th annual Love Groove Music Festival at Center Stage in downtown Baltimore opens next week. The highly anticipated one-day event will showcase an array of Baltimorean performers and artists on one of Baltimore’s most prominent stages on Saturday, August 20.

Performances include Joy Postell, 4KMichael, Miss Kam, Kotic Couture, Taco, Clarence Ward III, Samwyse, Ignant Exposure, and DJ Sun.

An art gallery will showcase pieces from TWZ, QRKY, Victoria Walton, Calisma Art, Raina Allmond, Kailah Forman, Josh Brooks, Emani Carter, Destiny Lewis, and Omega Williams. There will also be a film gallery screening films including John Tyler’s “Free Spirit Documentary” premiere, showing the behind-the-scenes planning and performances for his 2022 Free Spirit tour.  Festival goers will also get a preview of a documentary about Love Groove, the entertainment company home to the festival as well as a music label, apprenticeship program, and multi-media production company of the same name.

In its sixth year, the festival signals the fertile ground of the art scene in Baltimore and Love Groove’s steady position as a leading player pushing art in the city. “Basically over the next two years, I’ll be building the Coachella,/HBO/Roc-A-Fella Records of Baltimore from the ground up,” Love Groove founder and musician John Tyler said in a tweet following the launch of Love Groove as an entertainment powerhouse late last year.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale for eight more days, get them here.
